Cornish Literature Weekend

Cornish Literature Weekend Cornish Literature Weekend

Enjoy a feast of Cornish literature from our earliest texts to the present day as we explore poetry, drama and fiction through the ages. Bring your enthusiasm for your favourite writers and your curiosity about new writers. Key contemporary writers such as Daphne du Maurier, Charles Causley and Alan Kent are highlighted. Celebrate the richness, quality and depth of these extraordinary writers.

This friendly and informal weekend offers you an overview of the literature of Cornwall. Take the opportunity to explore key writers in depth and visit places associated with them and their work. During trips out, you can experience for yourself some of the places associated with Cornish literature, for example, Fowey, Bodmin Moor, the Helford River and the clay country around St Austell.

You are very welcome to stay here with me in my home if you would like to. There are other accommodation options nearby, in and around the beautiful Fowey valley. Excellent local food is available in the restaurants, pubs and cafés of Lostwithiel.
